Gold and turquoise Topography earrings

Gold and turquoise Topography earrings
Gold and turquoise Topography earrings.
These striking turquoise tear drops complement the 18ct gold plated Topography ear studs. A classic pairing of colours which make a bold contemporary earring set.
The Topography Collection is inspired by landscape and cartography - Tasker says ‘Maps become far more than expressions of cartography, they become holders of our memories; part of our personal journeys to some extent, records of our passage through life itself.’ 1999
Topography is the study of the forms and features of land surfaces. Topographic maps use contours to show the elevation of different landforms, mountains, valleys, rivers. It is a detailed visual description or representation on paper of the physical features of an area.
These small nuggets of silver and gold are cast from cuttlefish which contains many layers which contour in the same way. A liminal space between sea and land caught in time.
