Distinctive and elegant blue opal ring in gold claws in a contemporary silver ring shank.

This distinctive example of a Peruvian Blue Opal is set in an elegant basket setting which allows the colours to shine. 4 claws hold the stone which is set on a tapered recycled gold ring shank gently textured by my Granddad’s old workshop hammer.

Peruvian Blue Opals are only found in the Andes in Peru and are therefore quite rare. I have chosen stones with inclusions in them which look to me like the sea in summer. This ring will give you so much pleasure as a reminder of warm days and long sunny afternoons messing about at the beach.
